Love Moves In Mysterious Ways Chapter 5

Chapter Five: Hold On

Paul went rushing downstairs to see what Van has prepared for their dinner but he slipped in the stairs (POV: The stairs are 2 steps only. He will not die.). Van rushed to catch Paul.

Paul: Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…
Van: HOLD ON….
Van caught Paul but on his back.
Van: Are you alright?
Paul: Yes, I’m alright. Are you OK?
Van: Yes I’m fine.
Paul: Thanks for catching me.
Van: It’s nothing. Next time, be careful in rushing down the stairs.
Paul: Ok I will.
Van: By the way, dinner is served.
Paul’s eyes widened when he saw what Van prepared for their dinner. He cooked Kare-kare, dinuguan, adobo, Bicol Express and kaldereta.
Paul: Wow, where’s the fiesta? Why did you cooked these many viands?
Van: Nothing. I loved cooking that’s all.
Paul: Ok… but can we eat all this?
Van: Yes, you don’t have to worry if we can’t eat all of this food, we can store it in the refrigerator. It can last for 2-3 days.
Paul: Oh ok. Let’s eat.
Van: Ok… which one will you dig in first?
Paul: I can’t make up my mind. I’m thinking if I’ll eat kare-kare  first or kaldereta? Kare-kare is my favorite but I also like kaldereta. Ummmmmm….
Van: I think you should choose kaldereta because I made it extra special.
Paul: Ok.
Van: Yup.
Paul ate the menudo first but to his surprise the kaldereta was very spicy like your mouth is about to explode.
Paul: WATERRRR!!!!! I need water…
Van: Here, drink this… then you go to the faucet and gargle.
Paul drank the water then went to the faucet. After that he felt ok and went back to the dining table.
Paul: It almost burned my intestine.
Van: Opps, sorry didn’t knew you are not used to very hot food.
Paul: Why do you like very spicy foods?
Van: Did I mentioned to you that I’m a Bicolano?
Paul: Nope.
Van: Now you know.
Paul: Oh ok.
Van: Sorry for the food.
Paul: It’s ok you don’t have to be sorry. You’re used to those food so you cooked it. It’s not you fault.
Van: Thanks for understanding. I’ll just cook you something not spicy.
Paul: No it’s ok. I like kare-kare and dinuguan too so don’t cook another food.
Van: If you say so then ok.
The two ate dinner and talked about their interests, like, dislikes and many more. They couldn’t consume all of the food so they saved some for breakfast. They placed it in the refrigerator and took out a sachet of popcorn and a bottle of softdrink. They put the popcorn sachet inside the oven and waited until it popped. As they wait, they went to the sala to look for a movie to watch. They chose the movie “GHOST RIDER”. They went back to the kitchen to get the popcorn, softdrink and glasses. Then they played the movie and seated in the couch. As they watch the movie, they eat and chat at the same time as if they are not watching a movie.
Paul: So you’re a Bicolano.
Van: Yes, my mom is a Bicolana and my father is a ManileƱo.
Paul: Oh ok. So every summer you go to Bicol?
Van: Yup. Can I ask you something?
Paul: What is it?
Van: Do you mind if you come with me to Bicol? If it’s ok with you?
Paul: Sure I’d like to go to Bicol. Is it ok with your mom?
Van: It’s ok with her. Actually she is the one who asks me if I can bring some of my friends to Bicol.
Paul: Oh is that so. Yehey, we’re going to Bicol this summer.
Van: I’m so happy you will come with me to Bicol. I’ll tell my mom that you will be the first of my friends to come to Bicol.
Paul: Really I’m the first one to come to your house in Bicol?
Van: Yes, remember I told you that I don’t have a friend that I can trust.
Paul: Does that mean you trust me?
Van: I trust you because you trust me. Right?
Paul: Yes, bespren. (Laughs)
Van: (Laughs) Thanks bespren.
Paul: Glad you’re my bestfriend.
Van: I think I’m the one whose gonna say that.
Paul: Maybe we are destined to be bestfriends.
Van: How can you say that?
Paul: We are two people living in opposite worlds. One that is the world of popularity and the other one is the world of simplicity.
Van: What do you mean?
Paul: I mean that you are from a world where people know you and you are very popular to them because you’re handsome, a boy-next-door type and a campus heartthrob.
Van: But you see I don’t like to be that person. I just wanted to be a simple guy who wants a normal life. (Looks at Paul through the eyes) Just like you.
Paul: Me? You don’t want to be me I’m telling you.
Van: Why?
Paul: Basta… it’s something personal.
Van: Oh ok.
Paul: The movie’s about to end.
Van: Yah I didn’t notice.
Paul: What do you want to do after this?
Van: I think I would like to sleep now. We’ve had a very rough day today.
Paul: Oo nga no…Ok let’s go to my room.
Van: So where is your room?
Paul: Upstairs in the right.
Van: Can go there first? Do you have a bathroom there? And can I borrow from you a sando?
Paul: Yes. I’ll just clean up this mess then I’ll be there.
Van: OK.
Van went to Paul’s room while Paul is cleaning their mess. When Van arrived in Paul’s room, Van removed his t-shirt and shorts to take a bath.
Van: Wow, Paul sure has a big bathroom. Ouch my back hurts from Paul’s fall.
After Paul finished cleaning up he turned off the lights and went upstairs to his room.
Paul: Van where are you?
Van: I’m inside the bathroom. I’ll be there in a minute.
Paul: Ok… I’ll just change my clothes. Can I enter the bathroom?
Van: Yes, you can. It not locked so you can enter.
Paul: Thanks.
Paul’s shower is a see-through glass with blurred design below so you can see the person inside but not the vital part. Paul was shocked of what he saw. Van has a muscular body, fair complexion and nice abs. Paul felt that his sweat is running through his face. He turned around and went to get clothes for him and Van.
Paul: Ok I-I’ll g-go outside n-now…
Van: Ok…
Paul went out of the bathroom with sweat all over his face. His heart is beating faster and faster by the minute. He removed his clothes, placed it in the basket full of dirty clothes and changed his clothes then went to bed. Van went out of the bathroom with just a towel on his waist. Paul was surprised seeing Van in that way. Van’s abs are 6-packed and very firm.
Paul: Here’s your sando and boxer.
Van: Ok just place it there.
Paul: Nice body.
Van: Thanks. I’ve been building this body since my high school days.
Paul: Oh ok.
Paul felt that his whole body reached its highest temperature when Van removed the towel. He saw Van’s smooth butt and large ----. (Minors don’t read this!)
Van: What are you staring at?
Paul: Nothing…
Van: OK… I thought you are looking at my ----.
Paul: No I’m not looking at your ----.
Van: It’s ok with me if your looking at my ----, where both men naman ‘di ba?
Paul: O-oo naman…
Paul lay down on the bed first because he is still dizzy. After Van finished putting on his clothes, he went to bed and looked at Paul.
Van: You know I’m not used to have a companion when sleeping.
Paul: Really? Why?
Van: Because I sometimes hug my companion when I’m asleep.
Paul: Ahhhh ok…
Van: SO better watch out for my arms…
Paul turned off the lights and went to sleep. At about 1 o’ clock in the morning, Paul noticed something heavy on his body. He opened his eyes and saw Van’s leg and arm above him. He can also feel Van’s crotch touching his leg. He felt his cock arousing so he decided to removed Van’s arm and leg off of him but he can’t move a bit. Van moved but now they are facing each other. Van’s lips are close to Paul’s lips as if they are about to kiss. Paul’s heart is beating very fast. Paul kept on pulling himself out but the unexpected happened. Paul and Van kissed. Paul can’t explain his feeling because he kind of like it. He felt that he is falling in love with Van. Van doesn’t know that he accidentally kissed Paul because he is sleeping very soundly. Paul can’t think of anything but Van. He closed his eyes and fell asleep thinking of Van. He opened his eyes and found out that it was already morning and Van is not beside him. He thought for a moment that the kiss last night was just a dream until Van came inside the room with a breakfast tray with a rose on a small vase. Paul was shocked and can’t believe what was happening.
Paul: What is this?
Van: Your food silly.
Paul: Why did you bring me this?
Van: For you to eat. Breakfast in bed is good.
Paul: But I’m not sick.
Van: Do those who are sick the only ones who need breakfast in bed?
Paul: No, but why are you doing this?
Van: Nothing. I just wanted to surprise you.
Paul: Fortunately you’re successful in surprising me actually I’m very much surprised.
Van: I’m very happy now.
Paul: Why?
Van: Because I have you as my best friend.
Paul: That’s sweet of you.
Van: Hahaha if you will know me better, you’ll know how romantic and sweet I am.
Paul: Oh really???
Van: Yup, eat up your breakfast. I’ll just freshen up then we’ll go down stairs.
Paul: Ok the towel is inside the bathroom.
Van: Ok.
Van went to the bathroom to take a shower. He didn’t close the door too much so that Paul can see him. He removed his clothes and went inside the shower. Paul noticed what Van had done. He took a peek at the door and saw…

Love Moves in Mysterious Ways Chapter 4

Chapter Four: Anything For You

Paul went through the gates of their mansion-like house. The color of the house is white, with red and white roses in the garden, a fountain that looks like the Aquarius sign (the girl with a jar on her shoulder pouring water), and an old mango tree with a swing. The old mango tree is as old as Paul’s grandfather. Paul and his favorite grandfather, Lolo Inggo, play their everytime Lolo Inggo visits Paul’s family. Lolo Inggo wears a Western hat that cowboys used to wear, long sleeve polo with matching jeans and a leather shoes. Paul would always say to his Lolo, “Lo, ang porma nyo ngayon ah?(Grandpa, are you going somewhere?) ” He would just give back a smile. But Lolo Inggo died when Paul is six years old. He sat on the swing and reminisced the good old days with his favorite Lolo. He remembered the times when his Lolo would swing him back and forth as high as his Lolo can. While he was thinking of old memories, someone rang the doorbell. It was Van. Paul was surprised.

Paul: What are you doing here? It’s already late.
Van: It’s ok I told my mom that I will just bring you something.
Van gave Paul a basket of fruits and a bottle of milk.
Paul: What’s this for?
Van: It’s for you. Thought you might need some vitamins and minerals for your body.
Paul: Thanks for the concern.
Van: Can I come in?
Paul: Oh sure. Sorry if I didn’t let you in.
Van: It’s ok. Wow you’ve got a nice garden. (Astonished)
Paul: Not much. Try the swing it’s very relaxing to sit in.
Van: Ok. Looks old.
Paul: Yes. My grandfather made it for me when I was young.
Van: Oh really? (Surprised) Your grandfather surely loves you very much, isn’t he?
Paul: He really loves me very much. He is my favorite you know.
Van: Oh that’s why, by the way who are you with?
Paul: By now, no one is around. My mom is in Hong Kong and my dad is in Indonesia. So I am home alone.
Van: Can I stay? I’ll just call my mom on the phone.
Paul: Sure, let’s have a sleep over.
Van: Ok, where is your phone?
Paul: We don’t have a phone. Use this.
Paul handed his N73 phone to Van.
Paul: You can call your mom with my phone. Don’t worry about the load it’s has a line with World. (World is a telecommunications company like Globe, Smart and Sun cellular.)
Van: Wow, are you sure?
Paul: ANYTHING FOR YOU.
Van: Ok.
Van dialed their landline number and talked to his mom that he will sleep over at Paul’s place. His mom agreed and told him to be nice.
Van: Ok mom thanks. Bye.
Paul: So?
Van: It’s ok for her.
Paul: Oh glad she agreed. Wait here I’ll call Jollibee and order our food.
Van: No need. I’ll cook for us.
Paul: Are you sure?
Van: I’ll do ANYTHING FOR YOU. You have foods in your refrigerator right?
Paul: Yes, a lot.
Van: Ok so I’ll start cooking.
Paul: So… you know how to cook huh?
Van: Yes, my mom taught me how to cook.
Paul: Wow, can you teach me how to cook?
Van: Sure why not? What dish do you want to learn?
Paul: Anything that can be easily cooked.
Van: Ummmmmm… how about frying hotdogs?
Paul: It’s ok to start with something simple. Right?
Van: Do you have hotdogs in your refrigerator?
Paul: Yes, how many do you want?
Van: We need 4 hotdogs.
Paul: Coming right up.
Van: First let the pan get hot.
Paul: Then?
Van: If the pan is hot enough, pour a small amount of cooking oil in the pan.
Paul: After that?
Van: Put the hotdogs in the pan. Can you pass “my” hotdogs?
Paul: Huh? (Shocked)
Van: I mean "the" hotdogs. (Blushing)
Paul: Ohhh ok…
Van: Then after putting the hotdogs in the wait for it to be cooked. Don’t let it to be overcooked.
Paul: Is that it?
Van: Yah… it’s as easy as that…
Paul: Wow it’s very easy to do.
Van: Ok, now just sit there and relax and I’ll do all the cooking.
Paul: Ok that’s your choice. I’ll just take a shower and call me if you’re already done cooking.
Van: Ok…

Paul took a shower while Van is cooking downstairs. Paul’s bathroom has a Jacuzzi and a shower. As Paul took his shower, Van is busy cooking for both of them. Van prepared a delicious dinner with his specialty, Kare-Kare. Paul can smell the “bagoong” that Van is preparing. Paul rushed out of the bathroom and wore his clothes as fast as he can because he likes the smell of Van’s meal.

Iba ka, iba ako... Sana respetuhan tayo...

Masama bang ipahayag sa buong mundo kung ano ako?

Masama bang maging proud sa sarili ko?

Masama bang ipagsabi ko na BISEXUAL ako?

Masama ba un?

Love Moves in Mysterious Ways Chapter 3

Chapter Three: Bespren (Best friend)

After the movie, the lights went on. Van looked at Paul who is in deep shock.
Van: What happened to you?
Paul: N-nothing…
Van: Really??
Paul: Y-yes…
Van: Let’s go now…
Paul: O-ok…
After they went out of the movie house, Paul fell to his knees unconsciously.
Van: Hey, what happened? Wake up…
Van called for help from the guards and personnels of the movie house. They rushed him to the clinic in the mall.
Paul: W-where am I?
Van: You’re in the mall’s clinic.
Paul: W-what am I doing here?
Van: You collapsed a while ago after we watched SAW 3. Why didn’t you tell me that you are not used in watching horror/suspense thriller movies?
Paul: I-I didn’t tell you that because I don’t want to be a “Kill-Joy”.
Van: It is ok for me. Next time tell me if you don’t like does kind of movies ok? You gave me a fright a while ago.
Paul: Sorry…
Van: It’s ok. Can I ask you something?
Paul: What is it?
Van: Pwede ka bang maging bespren ko? (Can you be my bestfriend?)
Paul: Why did you asked?
Van: Because I don’t have any bestfriend.
Paul was shocked with what Van told him.
Paul: The campus heartthrob of SAU has no bestfriends?
Van: Yes, it’s true. I don’t have any bestfriends. All of my friends in school are just making friends with me to get popularity of course. But none of them is a true friend. In times of problems, they are always saying, “Kaw na bahala dyan buhay mo yan eh.” (It's your life, why should I care?)
Paul: Ohhh what kind of friends are they…
Van: But you are different from them, you are a true friend that even if you hate something and I like it, you will also like it too.
Paul: I’m flattered.
Van: So can you be my bespren (best friend)?
Paul: Sure, BESPREN.
Van: Thanks BESPREN.
Paul: OK!
Van: So can I take you to your home?
Paul: Sure! I don’t want to come home late.
Van: Ok… let’s ride a taxi to your house.
Paul: Help me get up. Can you get me a drink?
Van: What do you want? Water? Iced Tea? What?
Paul: Anything.
Van: Coming right up.
Van went to find a drink for Paul.
Paul: Thanks.
Van: No problem. So let’s go?
Paul: Sure!
Van helped Paul get out of the bed in the clinic then thanked the nurse for the help. They went outside to find a taxi.
Paul: Loyola Heights.
Van: You live there?
Paul: Yup. Why did you asked?
Van: I also live there.
Paul: Really? How come I don’t see you there?
Van: Hindi ba sabi ko sayo wala akong kaibigang tunay? (Haven't I told you that I don't have any real friends?)
Paul: So?
Van: No one invites me to go outside and hang out in the subdivision.
Paul: Oh, What street are you?
Van: Gumamela Street. You?
Paul: Gumamela Street too.
Van: What your address?
Paul: 241 Gumamela Street
Van: We’re in 214 Gumamela Street.
Paul: Ok guess I’ll be seeing you there?
Van: Ok, see you there.
They arrived at Paul’s house at 6:40 pm in 241 Gumamela Street Loyola Heights, Quezon City. Van told the driver to go straight ahead because their house is just around the corner of Gumamela and Bougainvillea Street.

Love Moves in Mysterious Ways Chapter 2

Chapter 2: So it’s you?

11am SATURDAY…

Paul woke up with nervousness in his heart. This is the day that he will meet Bok-Bok. He ate his breakfast, brushed his teeth, and took a bath. He looked for a nice outfit that is very presentable. He chose a long sleeve skyblue polo, black slacks and black leather shoes. His mom laughed at him because he looks like going to a ball or a wedding, but he ignored her and went off. *(Let’s see if Van woke up with the same feeling as Paul.)

Van woke up with excitement and a big smile. He went downstairs and ate his breakfast. He went to the bathroom and took a bath. His mom was surprised because Van is singing while taking a bath and it is the first time he did that. After he took a bath, he dressed up and went off. *

*Paul arrived at the meeting place first, but he is feeling that he shouldn’t show himself. He texted Van, “Bok-Bok where are you?” Van replied, “I am almost there.” Paul felt his heart beat faster. He asked himself, “Why am I feeling this? What’s happening to me?” Then he saw his classmate and the campus heartthrob Van.
Paul: Hey, what are you doing here?
Van: I’m meeting someone here. How about you? What are you doing here?
Paul: I’m gonna meet someone here too.
Van: Wait a minute, Poknat?
Paul: Bok-Bok?
Van: SO IT’S YOU? Kaw pala yun …(It is you...)
Paul: Ikaw si Bok-Bok (You’re Bok-Bok?) ?
Van: Ako nga, kala ko kung sino kaw pala si Poknat…”(Yah, that's me. I thought Poknat was somebody else...) (Laughed)
Paul: Ikaw pala si Bok-Bok… nagugutom ako kain tayo treat ko. (So you're Bok-Bok... Let's go and eat, my treat.)
Van: That’s what I like about you, you’re not afraid to tell something to anyone.
Paul: Well, I grew up like this that’s why I’m like this,
They went to McDonalds near Tutuban. Paul asked Van what he likes to eat, he said anything and Paul can choose what they will eat. Paul ordered two cheeseburgers, two drinks and two ice creams. After the cashier arranged their order, Van stood up then helped Paul in carrying the tray.
Paul: Thanks!
Van: It’s OK…
Paul: So what do you mostly do when you are in the mall?
Van: I just wonder around.
Paul: Aren’t you bored?
Van: No… why? How about you? What do you do when you are in the mall?
Paul: Just stick with me at ako bahala sayo!!!! (Just stick with me and I'll take care of everything!!!!)
Van: OK sabi mo eh… (OK, if you say so...)
Paul: After we eat, we will go to SM Megamall. OK?
Van: OK! What are we going to do there?
Paul: Secret!!!! (With a wink…)
After they ate their lunch, they went to SM Megamall in Mandaluyong.  The mall is huge and gigantic but SM Mall of Asia is much larger. It is Van’s first time to go there so he looks from corner to corner of the mall. Paul held Van’s hand and pulled it to the ground level of the mall. When they got at the ground level of the mall, Van was surprised because the ground level is full of amusement parks. There is Worlds of Fun, Time Out and Paul’s favorite amusement park, Timezone.  They bought 20 tokens with 10 free tokens. They approached the arcade machine, Dance Maniax.
Paul: Do you know this game?
Van: Nope. What are you gonna do?
Paul: Watch and learn.
Paul started the game and chose the music that he will play. Then as the music plays, Paul began dancing gracefully like a real dancer. Van’s jaw dropped while he watches Paul. Paul moves to the groove of the music. After 5 songs, Van approached Paul.
Paul: So what do you think?
Van: Your great!!! You danced like a professional. Can you teach me how to play that game?
Paul: Oh sure… first let’s learn the basics. The beam above represents the red light on the screen while the beam below represents the blue light on the screen. If you see a red light at the left, swish your hand on the upper left beam above and if a red light on the right, swish to the right. Same as the beam above if you see a blue light at the left, swish your left hand on the lower left beam or vice versa.
Van: Ok I’ll try it.
Van tried to play the game but could barely move his hands so Paul held Van’s hands and controlled them. They looked at each other but they just laughed. Then when Van gets a hang of the game, Paul let go of Van’s hand and watched him play. After Van played, Paul applauded for Van for trying hard to learn the game. Van blushed because it’s the first time he danced in public. Then they played together like a showdown. Van played with more effort than before because Paul made a deal with him that if he has the highest score than Paul, Paul will buy him a ticket for the movies or if not Van will buy the ticket. The game ended. Van won the game and Paul will now buy the ticket for the movies.
Paul: Wow you have beaten me.
Van: Just my luck. (Smiled)
Paul: Let’s go to the cinema and let’s buy those tickets.
Van: Ok… What are we going to watch?
Paul: Let’s see what are the movies available.
Van: I want horror films.
When Paul heard what Van said, he felt his knees froze and couldn’t move. Paul doesn’t watch to horror films because he’s afraid of the dark. Van asked Paul why he is not moving.
Van: Ano nangyari sayo? (What happened to you?)
Paul: Wala.(Nothing.)
Van noticed Paul looking pale.
Paul: What are you looking at?
Van: Why are you looking pale?
Paul: It’s nothing.
Van: Ok… let’s watch SAW III.
Paul gasped.
Paul: Ok, w-wait for me here I-I’ll buy the tickets.
Van: Sure.
As Paul walks to the ticket booth, his knees are shaking and he now looks very pale.
Paul: M-Miss can I have t-two t-tickets for S-Saw 3?
Van: Are you sure your ok?
Paul: Y-yup I’m o-okay…
Van: Are you sure?
Paul: Y-yes…
They went inside the movie house and looked for seats. They chose to sit at middle aisle in the luxury seats. Paul insisted that he will buy their snacks but the truth is he is afraid of the movie. After Paul bought popcorn and drinks, the lights went off because the show is about to start. Paul hurriedly walked to their seat and quickly sat beside Van.
Van: Wow that was fast?!
Paul: Not much.
Van: What did you buy?
Paul: Popcorns and softdrinks. Here is yours.
Van: Thanks.
Paul: It’s freezing here.
Van: Here wear this.
Paul: No I’m alright. You just wear it.
Van: I insist.
He took the jacket given by Van.
Van: Much better.
The movie started. Paul felt his heart is about to explode as son as the movie started. The movie is about a psycho puppet that poisons the mind of others with vengeance. It’s also about killing brutally with mechanical inventions of a “PUPPET”.
